A crafty looking website promoting local Vancouver Island makers and artisans
This large and complex website needed to have a fun and crafty appearance and appeal to wide audience, from makers to consumers of all ages. It also needed the ability to categorize each post (each maker listing) into several different categories such as location, markets, product, which can be easily achieved using WordPress.
For the Island Crafted website we used a centered logo in the header with the navigation underneath. For fonts we went with a unique typographical combination of IM Fell English and one of my favourites, Euphoria Script, for the headings, and Raleway for the body, giving it a handcrafted appearance. The colours used were a light blue, dark blue, and beige.
