A Florist and Gift shop requiring a beautiful, earthy E-commerce website
The owner of this beautiful Floral and Gift shop located in Parksville really had a vision in mind for a stunning E-commerce site that feels organic and natural, not overly feminine like most floral websites, and highlights her gorgeous floral arrangements and products in store. She also needed to give clients the option of choosing whether they want their flowers delivered or picked up in store, and different delivery costs to be automatically calculated based on the delivery location.
WordPress sites use the Ecommerce plugin Woocommerce, and using this allows stores to easily accept payment using credit cards or Paypal. Once up and running, Woocommerce is quite simple for the clients to use, but I would definitely recommend hiring a professional web designer and developer to do the initial set up for you (shipping costs, taxes, product variations, shipping methods, it can get overwhelming if you aren’t familiar with it).
The large full screen image slider catches your eye right away and pulls you in. With a combination of two sans-serif fonts, Poppins and Open Sans, and an earth colour palette, the website has a modern and luxurious feel. This was one extremely happy client and I was so proud handing this beautiful site over to her.
